What does a Medical Office Specialist do?

Our Medical Office Specialist program is designed to teach you the necessary skills in the administrative aspects of the medical field. Some of the responsibilities include assisting patients with insurance forms, handling billing and bookkeeping, accurately organizing and updating patients' records, completing and submitting insurance forms, process billing, and many other critical and challenging duties. 
As a graduate of NCC Medical Office Specialist program, you will be prepared to find employment with a physician’s office, outpatient clinics, health insurance companies, clinics, medical supplies and equipment companies, skilled nursing facilities, nursing homes, and public health departments, having acquired the basic skills of medical coding using CPT and ICD-9.
