Educational Requirements

To become an LVN in California, you need to complete a BVNPT-approved vocational nursing program. These programs typically take 12 to 18 months and combine classroom instruction with hands-on clinical training. You'll cover anatomy, pharmacology, patient care, nursing fundamentals, and more.
